Fun Direction improves opportunities for young girls from disadvantaged areas to experience and participate in sport in their own community. Our fun activities educate girls aged 5-8 in physical literacy through weekly multi-sport, age-appropriate coaching. We try to engender in girls a love of sport and equip them to fulfill their broad potential through a life-long participation in sport.

Our programme introduces the girls to athletics, camogie, soccer, karate and tennis on a rotating basis for 1 hour a week. A solid foundation in sport equips girls to make their own decisions about what sports they want to pursue through later childhood after sport becomes part of their weekly routine.

We love sport and understand the benefits of sports participation in child development. We believe all children should have adequate and available opportunities to engage regularly in sport from a young age, regardless of where they live, what gender they are and what their economic or family circumstances are.
